Pick up at Marrakech airport and start of the tour. Drive through Tizi-N-Tichka (2260 m) in the High Atlas Mountains, where you can appreciate the beauty of the landscape and traditional Berber villages. You will arrive at the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, the largest Kasbah in Morocco and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Have lunch near the Kasbah and then continue towards Dades Gorge via Ouarzazate, “the Hollywood of Africa”, which has been the setting for many famous films. Visit of the Atlas studios and the Kasbah Taourit. We will continue our journey crossing the road of the Thousand Kasbahs with its fascinating sand castles to finally reach Kalaat Mgouna, the city of Roses. Check into a hotel in Dades Gorge.
After breakfast, drive back through the valley to see the incredible “monkey toes” rock formation and the 19th century Ait Yul Kasbah. You will leave the Dades Valley towards Tinghir and the Todra Valley, enjoying the panoramic views of the ancient Berber villages. Upon reaching the gorge, walk under the 300m high red cliff where many climbers come to practice this exciting sport. Continue to Erfoud and Rissani for lunch. Then, you will depart for the town of Merzouga, where you will be welcomed with a glass of mint tea before checking in at the Hotel.
You will wake up early in the morning to go on a camel trek to see the sunrise. Then you will return to the hotel by camel. Along the way you will appreciate the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi dunes that change with the light as the day progresses, before continuing to Fes via Errachidia along the magnificent Ziz Gorges, carved from volcanic rock. , and through the Tizi Ntalghamt mountain pass to Midelt. We will arrive at Zaida to enjoy a barbecue and a refreshing glass of mint tea. Then our trip will continue to Azrou, a Berber village in the Middle Atlas Mountains; Stop to see the barbarian apes in the famous cedar forest. On the way to Ifrane, “the French village,” stop for photos and a drink, then drive to the hotel in Fez.
